Q. How do we book?
In order to provide the best quality and service possible, I only accept a limited number of bookings each year so it is best to enquire for your chosen date as soon as possible. Once we have discussed your plans and both parties are happy to proceed I will provide you with a contract and invoice
Q. Can we meet before we book you?
I am happy to meet at your ceremony/reception venue or local coffee shop, etc. within a 20 mile radius of Newcastle upon Tyne. If that is too far away from you or you are super busy then we can always arrange a chat via Skype
Q. How much is the booking fee?
£500.00. This is a non-refundable booking fee and is deducted from your final balance
Q. Are you happy to travel?
Absolutely! I have my own transport and a passport. Simply get in touch and we can discuss your requirements and plans for your big day. I will calculate a reasonable fee for any travel/accommodation costs before a booking fee is paid
Q. What time do you arrive/depart on the Wedding day?
I enjoy photographing the pre-ceremony preparations and my Clients will generally request this. I will typically allow up to 2 hours before the ceremony time to capture you getting ready and the important details like your flowers, garments, rings, etc. Depending on your chosen collection I will be there until mid afternoon or until just after your first dance
Q. How long until we can view our images?
A great deal of care and attention to detail is taken during the editing of your images, each one is carefully chosen to compile a true reflection of your day. It normally takes between 6 and 8 weeks to finish the images and upload them to Your private viewing gallery on my website
Q How many photographs would you expect to take on our wedding day?
I prefer quality over quantity which is why my collections do not include a set amount of images. There is no set limit to how many images I will capture, a full day's coverage with guests who enjoy having their photo taken can leave me with over 1000 images to go through! I do not share the number I took with you, my aim is to ensure that you have a gallery of beautiful images to enjoy
Q. Do we have to feed you?
It is not a requirement however a Wedding can be a very long day so sustenance is always going to be appreciated! It does not include me joining your Wedding party, a simple sandwich or bar snack in another room will do me just fine! Your meal time provides me with some time to recharge and the option for a couple of quick photo edits. If you are unable to supply a meal for me, please let me know in advance so that I can make arrangements
Q. What if we have a set list of image requirements?
I don't mind doing a number of traditional shots such as Mother/Father of the Bride/Groom, Bridesmaids/Ushers and selected group images but I have found it works much better to let the day flow organically and shoot as and when the moments appear. I do not work off a list but will remember the important key shots. Trust me, you and your guests will feel a lot better if they aren't being constantly chased to stand in a certain place and look a certain way
Q. How do we pay the final balance?
The balance needs to be paid at least 4 weeks before the wedding date via bank transfer/paypal
Q. Are you insured?
Yes. For both public liability and professional indemnity
Q. Can you offer an extra photographer?
Providing one of my chosen 'second shooters' are available on your chosen date, then yes. However, there will be an additional charge for this service
Q. You can edit that out, right?
I will use the magic of editing to remove something detrimental to an otherwise lovely image and I can edit out that nuisance pimple that appeared on the morning of your Wedding. But otherwise, No. I will not airbrush or manipulate your images beyond my 'normal' editing process. My style is natural and a true reflection of you and your day
